Bass & Guitar Session
After an interminably long delay (100% my fault…), I am FINALLY heading back to my producer’s home & studio to lay down the first couple of bass guitar tracks for the album. I’ll also be doing some quick punch-in work for rhythm guitar as I flubbed a couple bits on a track back in November (!) and didn’t catch it until I’d left for the day.
More Guitar Recording
One more session to finish up recording the rhythm guitar parts for the album. After that, with some luck, we’ll be moving on to lead vocals!
Rhythm Guitar Recording Session
We got this rig rolling when we recorded the drum tracks in May.
We had a few months of delays, but got back on the road when we edited the drum tracks for each song into their final forms.
Now, we add the rhythm guitar and ukulele tracks that will form the musical backbone of the songs.
Each new step means subsequent steps become a little easier as the tracks evolve away from shoddy home demos to professionally-recorded work.
Drum Track Magic
Drum tracks for the album were recorded in late May. Now, we’re going to work some studio magic to splice together the best parts of each take (for those songs where a single take doesn’t suffice) until we have start-to-finish drums for each tune.
